Lucky... 0 #1 November 5, 2009 http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091105/ap_on_bi_go_ec_fi/us_economy Good news, the 3rd and final rung has already started to bottom. After HC I think Obama and staff will be working on jobs creation even more than they have, but you have to stop the bleeding first. In years forward as we retrospect on this recovery and realize how horrible these times were, Obama and this congress will be thought of as a brilliant strategist(s). Some still say FDR was horrible, even tho he recovered much worse, of course those same people won't accept that it was their party, Hoover who finally, in his last year trippled the top tax bracket leading to recovery. It took Clinton longer to flip the economy that was already in recovery, but Clinton ditched the HC agenda so that freed him up. Obama is great! The monster has 2 heads; lower the new unemp filings an start job creation. Considering the mess we had, which you mitigate to a bad week, having the fewest new filings since Obama took office from your turd is a hige victory, now we need to sustain that and create new jobs. I really apologize that Obama is succeeding.

marks2065 0 #8 November 5, 2009 QuoteSo over 500,000 NEW unemployment claims for 1 month is god news? That is like saying I only lost 10k last month instead of the 20k I lost the month before. stupid people think this way. when the new jobs found are larger than the lost jobs is when things start getting better. But the left is so desperate that they will spin anything to try and make themselves look good. Like Polosi saying the 23rd election in newe york was a victory that was huge because a rep held that seat since the civil war, wrong on everything. 4 dems have held that seat since 1950. the dem almost got beat by an independant. the only thing they got right was the rep that was running was an idiot. billvon 3,090 #9 November 5, 2009 >That is like saying I only lost 10k last month instead of the 20k I lost >the month before. stupid people think this way. Let's say you had a company that started out by borrowing a huge amount of money to get up and running. Sales started to increase. In May, you were in the hole by half a million; in June, you were in the hole by only $100,000. The July forecast indicates a profit if everything goes well. Would you abandon the company? Or would you be "stupid" and think things were improving? >But the left is so desperate that they will spin anything to try and make >themselves look good. It seems like only yesterday that the right wingers were desperately trying to claim "THERE'S NO RECESSION!" to make themselves look good. They look pretty dumb now. Lucky... 0 #12 November 5, 2009 It's funny to watch you throw posts together and make typos, then call others on it. Your bretheren above wrote "god" instead of "good" where your [SIC]? Again, when you run out of substance, you try to discredit the other's points by way of typographical errors. Desperate. Quote If you only knew enough about economics to know that it is cyclic and just like it went down... It will go back up. History has shown that over and over. And when taxes are cut and overspending ensues that cycle returns at just that time. Amazing how the timing is so coincedental. You party ran this country into the ground, you wanna call it random chance, enjoy, 69M to 59M votres called it FU'd management and history agrees. You wanna wag your pseudo education around? Good, show me 1 major tax cut that lead to overall health forteh economy. Didn't think so. Quote The funny thing, is you keep trying to say that Hoover started the recovery last time with his massive tax increases near the end of his term.... Yet we don't have those here??????? That's because we have to coddle our billionaires so instead of drastically raising taxes we just deficit spend and let the billionaires hang on to their cash - you have to do one or the other, or a combo of both. Quote Again, you show that you really don't understand history, nor economics.... You just grasp onto the parts that support your position and ignore all the evidence that counters your position. Amazing at the timing of the cessation of the 12 mill dead Americans and others behind them that would have died but for Hoover's late action and FDR's actions. This is what I wrote: That's because we have to coddle our billionaires so instead of drastically raising taxes we just deficit spend and let the billionaires hang on to their cash - you have to do one or the other, or a combo of both. Understand? You have choices in horrible eco times: - Let another 12 million die - Tax the rich and redistribute - Deficit spend You can also cut taxes and do other idiotic things, but I'm talking positive recovery, which requires spending money. Where you get the money is the choice of who's in power, either take from the rich or tack it on to the tab - it's ultimately the same thing from the front of cash acquisition. Is that simple enough? Here's also what I wrote and you cherry-pickjed away from: We raised taxes then, we deficit spend now, that is the truth, let's hear your answer to that.
