Belgian_Draft 0 #1 November 5, 2009 I just suffered through one of the worst renditions of our national anthem that I have ever had the displeasure of listening to. "Sang", to use the term very loosely, by Mary J. Blige, our anthem was butchered and left in pieces in the name of what I expect some people to call artistic freedom. It sounded like she had no idea of the story behind the lyrics. She has a beautiful voice and could have performed a rendition that would be remembered as a classic, but instead she failed miserably.HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit. Rookie120 0 #2 November 5, 2009 It almost seems like every chik that sings the national anthem tries to pull off Whitney Houston at the superbowl but they always fall flat on final product. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck! BillyVance 35 #3 November 5, 2009 No matter how bad somebody sounds, NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY can beat Roseanne Barr's rendition at a MLB game, complete with a crotch scratch and spit. Worst of ALL TIME! Worst of ALL TIME! Damn man, why the hell did you have to remind me of that. I will take years (again) to get her ugly screaming ugly mutt singing that out of my mind again"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." masterrig 1 #8 November 5, 2009 The best rendition of our national anthem, hands-down, was sung by Trace Adkins befor a recent NASCAR race. Sent chills through me. Chuck
kallend 2,146 #9 November 5, 2009 I prefer it when it's sung by the people in the audience without a minor celebrity to lead them.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
