Actually, you should take a lesson from "percentages". You see, you are comparing the UK and US on absolute numbers, which is bad statistics. That's because the US has 5 times the population of the UK, and therefore the proper way to compare things is on a per capita basis. If you wanted to equalize the stats for fair comparison, you would have to multiply all the UK stats by five. You haven't done that, and in failing to do so, you've demonstrated that you don't really understand statistics at all. So you'll have to pardon me if I give no credence to your analysis. And of course, regardless of how relatively small your numbers are, you're still ignoring the trend, which is decidedly negative. That's like someone from America saying that our gun crime isn't a problem, because it's not nearly as bad as South Africa. Would you consider that a valid argument?
