Unless you subscribe to thievery of an entire different nation,

And check your grammar windows before you criticize me.

If you are the grammar police, we are in twouble!

As for your point, I think you should definitely limit your attempts at thievery to your own country.

- I'm not teh grammar police, just responding to Rush, who played grammar police on me. When Rush gets stuck, he turns to grammar, not me, I want people to adddress my data and other points.

- Have you not figured out that I'm an AMerican here in America and that the Zimbabwe thing was for fun? No wonder you're conservative, you believe everything you read.

Dude:D:D:D:D

Are you serious???

You really did miss the irony or you have not paid attention to what has happened here in the past:D:D:D

If you stop to notice your replies are about nothing with whatever point, just regurgitated mess about how right you and how ridiculous others are, then you would get it. IOW's if you find yourself unable to repsond to the substance, figure it out.

Well, I haven't paid attention to your Zimbabweism till just now. Ya see, I was refering to the post where you condone thievery, but not international thievery. That's terribly inconsiderate of you, but I'll give you the chance to redeem yourself.

Over the past several years, how much have you given to charity? Have you ever paid for a poor person's medical care?

A little to charity. As for you and paid medical expenses, unless you tag along with a poor person you don't pay theirs either. Sorry, but tehre is no connect ebtween your taxes and anyones HC bill. Altho you will claim there is.

I don't need to redeem myself, perhaps you can by not wanting to disallow your fellow countrymen and women HC.

I see that you've learned well from folks like Joe Biden. It's great to give away other people's money. That makes you compassionate.

As for no connection between HC and taxes - how do redistributive government programs get paid for? An economic primer for you:

a) Taxation (stealing from the current generation)
b) Deficit / Borrowing (stealing from future generations)

Is there another way I'm not aware of? And I don't mean ponzi schemes like social security. That doesn't count.

I say we take over Saudi and give the oil money to our poor. That will make the Saudis the most compassionate people in the world! We should really do them that favor.
The forecast is mostly sunny with occasional beer.

Well... there's a few things in this thread I could comment on, but only a couple I'm going to.

In regards to the original post... Observing someone's stance on an issue, drawing a box around them and everyone who shares their stance, making an assumption about their motives for having taken up that stance, attributing these motives to a lack of empathy / social perspective, and then further attributing this lack of empathy to a developmental neurological disorder is not just an ironic thought process, it's sociopathic.

A few posts back you made a comment that charity as given by individuals is no good, or maybe just not good enough, because such charity gets distributed towards people and/or causes according to the decisions of the individual. Because the decisions of an individual may include prejudices, you are arguing, the individual should be relieved of the decision making and the government should do it instead. To illustrate why this mindset is unsettling to a number of people I ask these... Are there other decisions currently made by individuals that may involve a prejudice that you feel the government should take ownership of? Are there decisions currently made by individuals that may involve a prejudice that you don't think the government should be involved in?

WE have figured out you hide behind your ID[:/]

And who I am affects the issues how, oh master of teh ad hominem?

Oh, touch a nerve? Where did I attack you?

Oh, I forgot, calling someone (on the left) on what they support IS and attack in your world. Just like opposing Obamas policies is racits:S

But keep going please. You do better at making my point than I do.

As for the spelling?

Sigh. OK, back to the 2nd Grade.
1 "t".
2 "g's".
Unless you're turning this into a Bonfire thread.

Ooooo the (republican-only) spelling nazi strikes again.

Here's a hint -- nobody here is getting paid for polished copy, so get over it. ;)

True enough. And if certain people want to ensure they're not taken seriously by the care they chronically fail to take in expressing themselves, that's their choice.

I will take content and meaning any day in a forum like this.

You can keep your spelling. Seems that is all you have now......

Dude, I struggle with spelling. The spell checker in Internet Explorer works horribly on my computer.. Somebody suggested Mozilla. I am using that right now. It helps. It does not help with wrong similarly spelled words however so I try to re-read and fix those errors. The ONLY reason I even noticed Lucky's miss-spellings is because I was using Mozilla and I was amazed at how many there were. Point? I did not care! It was a sarcastic comment at best aimed at myself. I understood his points and I did not care about the spelling.

You must pride yourself of spelling! That is great. It is weak spot for me. You could write a letter to the editor in minutes. It takes me hours.

On the other hand, I can plan and change out hot a 3 circuit, triple dead end 3 phase pole and never shut anybody off. I can calculate the oz's needed in a sprayer with 1/0 nozzles traveling at 8 mph with 30 psi pressure to get the correct application.

I can operate a tractor with a 45' tool on the back and not take out the fences at either end. I have overhauled and soup up small block chevy's and learned to do it by reading tech manuals.

You can have your spelling if it is that important to you. Again, if I understand the meaning the spelling comes secondary here. If you are publishing a scientific paper things are most likely different. I understand that but, I will not put you down if you cant change the oil in your car when I can

Oh dear Marc, that's a very poor explanation, or should I say: A fine excuse?

Where on earth nowadays do you find a well paid job without beeing fluent in spoken and written?

It simply is important, if you're working with your hands or your head.

Poor writing skills simply make *you* look like an idiot. You are noncompetitive in the market. Plain and simple. Same refers to articulation. No matter in which language.

My personal experience and I'm working on it every day.

I will let the insult go as I am under threat for permenant ban for far less.

But, you have your priorities and that is fine. It is not one of mine and I sure as hell will not adjust it for those who chose to point out spelling errors to those with whom they disagree and ingnore those same spelling errors of those with whom they agree. That is called hypocrisy.

So, you keep working on whats important to you and I will do the same. I however will not call you out if you cant or will not work with 12.5kV engergized lines to keep to power on to your computer with as little interuption as possible.

So, what is important to you does not make it important to me Sorry to burst the liberal bubble

Yep, agreed. (Except the liberal bubble, *your* liberals are different to *ours*).

The truth is to be found somewhere else. I'm quite sure you know it. Don't play the fool.

In my world, education, skills, behaviour, are very important points. (BTW: I have no problems to change damaged tires or changing the battery .... All my lamps in my house have been installed by myself, friends with computer problems ask me for help.)

Choose your world. If you're OK with what you consider being *not important*, that's your decision. Everyone is the architect of his own fortune. I prefer mine, until today it was successful.

Back to the idiotic thread title ..... :S

In my world the points you list are no more or less important. but I posted to priorities. There is a difference.

I am doing quite well (I feel) I do not have more than 1 year of college and 1 year of a tech college. I 17 years of real world experience in my field however. I have been in the industry I am in for 30 years.

I now have a management role which I like and am told I do very well at.

I can pull data from tables in applications using Excel to create pivot tables and create reports. (all self taught and not really a big deal today) I am a certified 6 Sigma Black Belt.

So, how do your points make me to "play the fool"?
