normiss 917 #1 September 21, 2009 Anybody keeping up with this? Runaway She's a minor and a runaway. Send her home. Have the religious zealots that assisted in her "runaway" charged with interfering in the well being of a minor or even conspiracy to kidnap. End of story. Why do the laws change because religion is involved?
quade 4 #2 September 21, 2009 If the father has stated he wants to kill her because she changed to Christianity or even if the girl just believes that to be the case, it's not a religious issue; it's a child services one.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

However, it is a bad idea to return a child to a parent who has threatened to kill them, no matter what the reason. (Assuming it is a credible threat of course.) normiss 917 #5 September 23, 2009 So far so good. Appears she is not under any threats after all. Ohio will make the decision in this case. I think she'll end up going home to Ohio. Maybe not all the way "home" right away, but I'd bet she ends up back there.
