Jesus fuckin H. Christ. We just went thru 2 yrs. of this shit. Can we have a break?
I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.

2 years of what shit, polls that show the Republicans out of gas and out of viable candidates? Seems longer to me.

YOu kin to Dream Dancer?

"Kin" brings it all home ;)

Now, someone else is your 3rd best candidate behind a moralist nut and the person brought down your campaign last general election is 4th.

As well, your worst candidate is also your 4th best, according to the poll; why the anger?

From your article:

"at the Values Voter Summit in Washington"

"religious conservatives"

Quote

and Palin is your worst

Your own source puts Palin in a three way tie.

Did you even read your own link?

I referred to the poll results, Palin is #4 most desirable and #1 least desireable. It's you who doesn't read and comprehend.

Again, your 3rd best candidate is someone else.

The link says something else.

Might want to check your source again.

Mike Huckabee was the clear winner, with 29 percent of the vote.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin: 12 percent (tie)

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty: 12 percent (tie)

Indiana Rep. Mike Pence: 11 percent

Other choices in the poll were House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Texas Rep. Ron Paul and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum. (Source: CNN)

Huckabee won the straw poll Saturday, grabbing nearly 29 percent of the vote. Romney, Pawlenty, Palin and Pence each won roughly 12 percent of the 597 votes cast.

You can try to claim some internet poll means anything (and I am sure you will) but your article says something other than your post.

Uh, Ron, it's a real time poll. The numbers will keep changing as people vote.

The poll might be, but the ARTICLE was on a poll that does not change.

Maybe you should actually read the article?

I may or may not be correct here, but I think the Republicans purposely kept Mitt Romney out of the 2008 election because they are saving him for 2012. They knew they were in trouble in 2008 and why sacrifice Romney in an election they knew they would likely lose.

Romney has leadership experience both in the private sector as well as the public sector. Obama is a great public speaker when his teleprompter works, but the man had no real world leadership experience and it's beginning to show. All we ever hear these days is "spend spend spend". How much debt are people willing to burden their future generations with?

Time will tell if I am right or wrong.

LOL the only thing worse than Canadian politics is US politics.
(Trust me our politicians are a joke up here)

Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Look for third parties to make a strong showing in the '10 congressional election. People are pissed all over the country and ready to clean house: Dem, Repub, Martian- if they're an incumbent they will have a big target on them with the voters holding the shotgun (metaphorically speaking, of course).

This is getting closer to what I'vew been advocating for almost 30 years. Vote out ALL incumbents. Let them know if they do not stop with the insipid partisan bickering and use good old common sense and American ingenuity to make some serious progress; the same will happen the next election.

This effectively amounts to firing people for not getting the job done. Why would that be a bad thing?

sweet - back to the original intent - no 'lifetime/career' politicians, we need people voted in that are great at what they do in real life and they reluctantly serve a term or two because they are cajoled into it

take away the perks and make the pay just equivalent to whatever their current jobs are and let's see who really "loves to serve the people"
