masterblaster72 0 #27 August 17, 2009 QuoteThis thread would have a similar content, with the names reversed, if it were about Hillary Clinton or Nancy Pelosi. And it'd be just as stupid. Wendy P. I was going to make the exact same post but you beat me to it. What a stupid thread. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

lawrocket 3 #29 August 18, 2009 QuoteWhile the place may accept walk-ins, the website clearly has a "Reservations" section, in which - see for yourself - people can reserve a table. Yes. I actually posted it. People can make a reservation but it is not required. QuotePalin came in as a walk-in, but also asked for a table by the window - apparently so she could "be seen" by the ogling masses. Apparently the table was open. Not reserved. Nobody sitting there. And if to be seen by the ogling masses? Well, yeah. Probably. Versus me, who prefers to get a table away from any ogling masses. I consider myself a ordinary schmoe. Quotewould any ordinary schmoe who came in as a walk-in have also been able to get a window seat upon request, or is that special treatment reserved just for celebrities? Dunno. I'd expect they could. Such as, if the table was open. My wife is hotter than your wife.
PLFXpert 0 #30 August 18, 2009 This being a Bonfire-sharing-though-no-one-likely-cares-type thread: Quote People can make a reservation but it is not required...Versus me, who prefers to get a table away from any ogling masses. I consider myself a ordinary schmoe. I like reservations, because I do not like to wait. In fact, I refuse to wait for anything. I am royally impatient--and I know it--so I go online and make the reservation or appointment, or whatever it is I am wanting to do. I purchase upgraded tickets to bypass lines. This is how I roll. But, I am with you about wanting to be seated sans masses. I do not like crowds or being in the thick of things. I was never a "bar-hopper" as is so popular with many people and even charity events--I always just donate my money and skip the hop-fest. If I find a comfy spot with good company I like away from the riff-raff one would have to pay me to leave. Again, just how I roll. For the record, though, I would never call myself a "diva". "High-maintenance", maybe. But for me that is just another word for a woman who knows what she likes and does not compromise. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. Around here, you can have a reservation and still wait upwards of 30+ minutes to get your table. PLFXpert 0 #32 August 19, 2009 Quote (House of Prime Rib being one of the worst offenders) Never heard of it, but sounds revolting. I imagine, however, the 30+ minutes is around peak time. I am an early bird. I do not wait to eat just because it is "cool" to eat later. I like eating with the grey-hairs at oh-eighteen-hundred. Having said that, I typically "lunch" more than I do go for dinner.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
