incendium 0 #4 August 5, 2009 Funny how the founder stepped down 7 days before Triple canopy took the new security contract for the State Dept. "Prince announced his resignation as CEO of Blackwater (now called Xe) on March 2, 2009. Prince will remain as chairman of the board but will no longer be involved in day-to-day operations." conspiracy......yes.......... v/r Paul "Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level and beat you!" DrewEckhardt 0 #5 August 5, 2009 QuoteBlackwater makes so much money that it does not need to deal in illicit arms. America had enough experts in effective interrogation that it didn't need to torture using its employees (water board) or out sourcing (extra judicial rendition). Belief leads people to do unnecessary and potentially illegal things.

I mean, this would be the 1st time ever that a CxO of a financially successful corporation was caught trying to make even more money with something illegal.Remster

tkhayes 348 #8 August 5, 2009 he's a right-wing fundamentalist Christian fucking nutbar, who found a niche with a government that basically held the same beliefs, sold them on billions of dollars in contracts to do whatever the hell they want, including war, crusades, and yes, he is and was capable of just about anything. power has a way of corrupting people, and if he was getting backed into a corner somehow withe DoJ, then one of the ways out of that was doing exactly what his company is very good at - killing people. Smuggling arms? Why not - lots of money in that too, especially if it was furthering his 'crusade'. Sad part is that our current government has expanded their role, especially in Afghanistan, and still uses their security for people like Hillary and other Gov't officials...... fire them all and terminate the contracts. There are a lot of people out there that could use the work, government security should be a government job.

Easier to make into full auto, larger capacity, muzzle already threaded, cheaper. And there are plenty of lathes and mills in Iraq as well as metal. But then again, I do not know much about guns or how to make things.
riddler 0 #10 August 6, 2009 QuoteThat whole plan is about as logical as smuggling cheese into Wisconsin. How about selling arms to Iranians in exchange for money and the release of hostages, then taking part of that money and using it to fund anti-communist rebels in Nicaragua? It may not be logical, but it did happen.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD

tkhayes 348 #15 August 7, 2009 I did not know that being a Christian had anything to do with murdering people, but in the case of Dr. Tiller, it certainly appears to. So whether or not Christianity has any to do DIRECTLY with arms smuggling, then maybe 'no'. But in the case of this nutbar, it might have, given that he is CHRISTIAN, and he is implicated in ARMS SMUGGLING. you might have to ask him about the connection. I just read, study and absorb evidence, facts and study the cases before me. with or without the arms smuggling, he is still a right-wing fundamentalist Christian fucking nutbar.
