mnskydiver688 0 #1 July 8, 2009 I wanted to find out how a person with these views would be represented. No tax breaks to any married couple (straight, gay, blue, pink). All roads should be toll roads. If you don't like it build your own. Infrastructure is more important than healthcare. The more you make the more you pay in taxes. The more you make the more opportunities for tax breaks. You can't speak the language you cannot be a citizen. You are not a citizen the government cheese shall not flow. If you do not know our national history you are no longer a citizen. No welfare. Either you are in the process of getting work or you are SOL. The government shouldn't give a sh*t where you put your nether regions. There are no government drug programs, you get hooked well I guess you have some stuff to figure out. A government education program exists. Either you make something of it or you can again refer to point about welfare. Unless you want our country to look like a barren wasteland, we figure out a way to borrow our resources. Our country stops exporting oil. The country stops acting like we are holding 4 aces and shows we are holding 4 aces. All is requested is a political title. Liberal, Conservative, Republican, Democrat, Socialist, Fundamentalist, etc. etc. Please also look up the definition of title before posting.Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Those two sorta conflict. >You can't speak the language you cannot be a citizen. Around here, that means Spanish sometimes. Used to be English. Before that, Kumeyayy. >No welfare. Either you are in the process of getting work or you are SOL. So in other words - keep what we have now. >The country stops acting like we are holding 4 aces and shows we are >holding 4 aces. I'd prefer that we just hold 4 aces and not really care what people think we're holding. If we're called we show them; if not, we keep them to ourselves. >Our country stops exporting oil. OK. That's like asking China to stop exporting democracy, though. >All is requested is a political title. "Well meaning but a little confused."
mnskydiver688 0 #4 July 8, 2009 Ok let me clarify. If someone came up to you and said this is how they feel about any country. What would you classify them as. In regards to comments about the U.S. I don't see how, who pays for infrastructure, has anything to do with how important it is. The U.S. does export oil. More than most people realize. Anyway, like I said, what would be your guess as to the political alignment for someone with the views of my original post?Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
billvon 3,120 #5 July 8, 2009 >I don't see how, who pays for infrastructure, has anything to do with >how important it is. Something no one is willing to pay for is, in a capitalist society, not as important as things they are willing to pay for. >The U.S. does export oil. More than most people realize. We export about a million barrels a day, or less than 5% of our demand. We use about 22 million barrels a day. We're #20 on the list of oil exporters. The reason we export oil at all is that it's sometimes cheaper to sell oil to northern Canada or Japan than to ship it to the lower 48. (It's just plain closer.) We then buy oil from Canada. Effectively we just get them to "ship" it for free. (Really they use it and then sell us oil they pumped from farther south, but same effect - free shipping.) So the question is - how much more are you willing to pay (in gas prices or in taxes) to ship that oil ourselves?

mnskydiver688 0 #7 July 8, 2009 So you're saying everyone will stop driving? Also, I still haven't gotten any answers to my original question.Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

What is the person who espouses those views? Sorta libertarian, a little confused, a bit xenophobic. He either hasn't done much research into how government works now or he wants to make a point by getting into an argument with someone. In other words, he's a Speaker's Corner kinda guy.
