You know, I'd probably take the same position, partially.

I would certainly want to be able to meet with someone without it being a matter of public record.

And, if my kids were going to a sleep over with BO's kids, I wouldn't want their names published.

I would releae most of the data. But not all. The release of incomplete data might be worse than none, so none isn't so bad.

These people have to govern and if it take a secret vist by the head of Hamas, or the UAW, great.

Yes most government should be done in the open. But man you have to have some room to manuver.

Or course this also means my mistress wouldn't be on a list.

I agree with you of course. I do not think any president should have to give out the guest list. Sure was hell to pay when this came up during the Bush admin but, my point was more to the way it is presented in the article. Its Bush's fault cause he started it

The lists that Bush wouldn't give out SHOULD be given out. The tough part is fairly picking a dividing line. And doing some in secret and some not.

The oil guys that came in to advise Chaney (read Czar Dick) should have been public. N
