JackC 0 #3 April 24, 2009 The lack of understanding here is staggering. Aerosols in this case do not mean CFCs. And neither does this work mean the "tree huggers" have got it wrong. I'd seriously recommend that you take a science course before you put your foot in you mouth again but I'm beginning to think you guys actually like the taste of boot leather. billvon 3,154 #4 April 24, 2009 >hmmm looks like the tree huggers have it all wrong. Nope. As the article points out, CO2 is still a problem; high altitude aerosols help plants absorb more CO2 to mitigate our emissions. (We've known that high altitude high-albedo aerosols help reduce warming as well, so that's not exactly earth-shattering.)

billvon 3,154 #8 April 24, 2009 >looks like the tree huggers have it all wrong Here's the REAL reason: ======================= Letter to the Editor April 17, 2007 You may have noticed that March of this year was particularly hot. As a matter of fact, I understand that it was the hottest March since the beginning of the last century. All of the trees were fully leafed out and legions of bugs and snakes were crawling around during a time in Arkansas when, on a normal year, we might see a snowflake or two. This should come as no surprise to any reasonable person. As you know, Daylight Savings Time started almost a month early this year. You would think that members of Congress would have considered the warming effects that an extra hour of daylight would have on our climate. Or did they? Perhaps this is another plot by a liberal Congress to make us believe that global warming is a real threat. Perhaps next time there should be serious studies performed before Congress passes laws with such far reaching effects. ======================= It was the liberals all along.
