Coreece 190 #1 March 31, 2009 Disney, The BBC, Green Light Media, and The Discovery Channel have quite a treat in store for the family with their new movie EARTH. The Trailer can be seen here: http://disney.go.com/disneynature/ Your're gonna love the scene at 0:55. I implore you you take the family out for a dinner and a movie and enjoy a wonderful night.I think this would be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to get out all together, enjoy eachothers company, spend some money and have fun....not a bad way to stimulate the economy...and, if you buy a ticket for EARTH the openning week, Disney will plant a tree in your name!Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... quade 4 #4 March 31, 2009 I wish I could be excited about this, but knowing the Disney Company got involved means I also know the original documentary has been watered down and made "more suitable" for the kiddies. The original was something like 10 hours of some of the most incredible HDTV footage ever captured. Won 4 Emmys and dozens of other awards. I can't help but think the Disney Company's involvement can only diminish the scope of the original. If you have HDTV and Blu-Ray, by all mean get the original and be blown away. http://shopping.discovery.com/product-65765.html?rel_productId=65140quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
shropshire 0 #5 March 31, 2009 I agree... I hate putting money into Disney's pocket. But the David Attenborough version (I've not heard Sigorny Weaver's) of this great T.V series is excellent and well worth the effort of watching the full set not some cut down one. Get on Amazon (behave people.....the SITE.... you knew that) and but the DVD/Blue-Ray set (.)Y(.) PhreeZone 20 #12 March 31, 2009 The BlueRay of Plant Earth is incredible. I have the BBC version and not the US voiced version and I am constantly blown away by the footage in it.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
