Obama on 60 Minutes

Recommended Posts

Wow, I could say more but I will only make a prediction and an observation.

No more late night shows and very few (if any) interviews with anybody. (no teleprompter to keep him out of trouble)

(this is just me) He comes across like he thinks he is a movie star, not president.

it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

Better than coming across like a moron, though.

Wow. You had to dig deep for that one. 2002?

And weren't you the one that said in a different thread that you shouldn't downplay the discussion of the bonus based on the total amount because it is just a distractor... well, isn't this post here the same issue?

I thought he came across pretty well. He's a politician, he's trying to get a message across, and that was pretty clear. His answers weren't perfect, but consider that the questions were, in fact, reasonably tough. Imagine how you think either Bush or McCain would have handled them. Not demeanor, but thoughts.

I did think he showed the ability to think while being interviewed, and he wasn't scared to think for a minute before talking. He's not trying to come across as one of the guys, that's not a strength of his. And he wasn't as somber as some would have liked. I don't think that's a problem, I'm sure others would prefer that in public he be entirely somber until things are rosy all over.

Not perfect, but OK in my book.

I agree with you, Wendy. Like you said, he's not perfect. I believe, he's trying his darndest to do a good job and do it right. I think too, too many people are to quick to judge. I think, we need to give him some time to get things worked-out. I thought he came across quite good on 60-Minutes.
