Must have been taking notes on Reagan's addresses. I believe a sitting president can quell the fear that grips a nation during a downturn. Be positive...act positive...go shopping. Funny how you never hear anything about the Carter years. All you ever see is "worst in 28 years" or something like that. It is, however not the worst since the Great Depression yet. It's the worst since the peanut farmer was POTUS. I think you hear that because we are suffering from the end result of VOODOODOO Economics brought on by the wonderful policies of the GOP... DO you know what year Ronnie Raygun came to power..... and what was the deficit at that time?????? Buehler???? Buehler????? Here let me help. http://zfacts.com/p/318.html High inflation allowed Reagan to misstate an inflated-dollar debt as a real growth in debt. On February 5, 1981, two weeks after taking office, in his "Address to the Nation on the Economy," Reagan said: "By 1960 our national debt stood at $284 billion. ... Today the debt is $934 billion. ... We can leave our children with an unrepayable massive debt and a shattered economy." And the first no mind that brings up malaise..... needs a fucking session in the electro-shock therapy room..... because with the deficit now.... the Carter years are looking REALLLLY Idyllic. It looks like another GOP "Mission Accomplished" . If you have not felt ...trickled down upon yet... you will..
