airdvr 210 #1 January 25, 2009 Obama: Quit Listening to Rush Limbaugh if You Want to Get Things Done http://www.nypost.com/seven/01232009/news/politics/prez_zings_gop_foe_in_a_timulating_talk_151572.htm "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package. In an exchange with Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) about the proposal, the president shot back: "I won," according to aides briefed on the meeting. "I will trump you on that." MikeForsythe 0 #2 January 25, 2009 He should have just ignored what Rush said. By responding the way he did, he just gave power and credibility to Rush.Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!
lawrocket 3 #3 January 25, 2009 In 1993, Clinton said unto the GOP, "Fuck you. I won. And I've got Congress here on my side. You resist, well, fuck you!" And in 94, the People, spoketh, and it was good. "Thou sayest fuck us? Well, fuck you AND your wife. And Congress, FUCK OFF." And Congress said to Bill, "Fuck you." And it was good. And they go things done when they weren't fucking shuting down he fucking government, which actually wasn't so fucking bad. And in aught-4, Bush won handily, for he said, "Fuck you" to Hussein and the Middle East, and the People were in the mood for fucking them. And he had Congress on his side. Bush and his Congress said unto others, "Fuck you. And here's a message from Dick Cheney: 'Go fuck yourselves.'" And the People said, "Thou has fucked up. We must put another fucker in." And Obama said, "I promise fucking change. And I have Congress with me. And I say unto the GOP, 'Fuck you and the horse you rode OUT on.' I'm the boss." And he is the boss. Will he be different from Clinton and Bush, who fucked themselves? I don't know, but I'm impressed with Obama. He hasn't run much of anything, but he is acting like the guy in charge - which is EXACTLY what he is. I respect that. I respected Bush and Clinton for that, My wife is hotter than your wife. Andy9o8 2 #5 January 25, 2009 QuoteHe should have just ignored what Rush said. By responding the way he did, he just gave power and credibility to Rush. He should have just made the point about pundits, without mentioning anyone by name. Why do you think Limbaugh said he wanted Obama to fail a couple days ago? Because, just like Ann Coulter, whenever he (or she) wants to advance his/her career with more publicity (and there ain't no bad publicity in show biz), all he/sh has to do is say something outrageous, and the press dutifully reports it. Limbaugh should send royalties to Obama for saying that. And Al Franken does the same thing - he wants to advance, he just....uh ..... well, I guess he becomes a US Senator. Oops. rushmc 23 #6 January 25, 2009 That is because Rush is correct! Most politions, including Obama, can't survive in the light of the truth.. In all fairness, he hammered the shit out of Bush for the last eight years too."America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." bodypilot90 0 #7 January 25, 2009 Quote but I'm impressed with Obama. He hasn't run much of anything, sorry but wait till he's been in a whole week before setting him up for sainthood, You are falling into the media hype. I have not seen anything good from him yet, don't expect to. Looks as if he is a spend spend spend guy. So where is the change?
rushmc 23 #8 January 25, 2009 I just finished watching George Stephanoplis's (spelling) round table discussing Obama's stimulas plan, apointments and proposed programs. This has got to be the first time I can rmember Donalson quesioning any Dems plans and strongly against some of his apointments. I "feel" even the media is starting to fear the damage to this country that could be done by Obama. Time to get verbal folks. Time to write your congressmen. Let'em know what you think what ever that is whatever the side to say you are on."America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." airdvr 210 #9 January 25, 2009 Quote Why do you think Limbaugh said he wanted Obama to fail a couple days ago? In all fairness Rush didn't say he wanted Obama to fail completely. But, like alot of people who didn't vote for Barry I'd like to see certain parts of his administration not succeed. Universal Health Care...trillion dollar bailout...etc.Please don't dent the planet. And specifically he said he wanted Obama to fail when he is trying to impliment and pass socialist policy."America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." Every time someone in politics or the media screams about Limbaugh or Coulter being a filthy fuckwad, they cry all the way to the bank. No different than seeing a new Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt headline every single day, without fail, until the end of time.

wmw999 2,583 #21 January 25, 2009 Not this lib. Listening (to anyone) gives you information. Doing gets things done. And spending all your time listening to crap like either Rush or Olberman is kind of like spending all your time in SC . Gets your gut going, but the laundry isn't done. Wendy W. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. Gawain 0 #25 January 25, 2009 Excellent!! Sean Hannity was on President Obama's target list during the campaign. Now he's foolishly invoked Limbaugh...that will be the leading point of a week of entertainment first thing Monday, 12:00PM EST. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
