Gun Ammo Shortage

Recommended Posts

The same thing happened before the 94 AWB and before Cali enacted Roberti-Roos - people wanted to 'get theirs' while they still could.

Fear/hysteria? I think history proved that NOT to be the case.

In the case of the current ammo shortage, I suppose we'll see.

Not yet you don't. Remember that Mike was really looking at that Sig 556 last time he was in town?;)

I think I might need to send him some pictures of the DPMS that I've put together for my work gun.B|

A "u-build-it" could be fun, too.... but I'd want a piston upper.

Let's see.... Ceiner 22 conversion for the 1911, 22 revo for Nina... then a 22 rifle (open for suggestions), an AR of some sort and a .308 of some sort...that'd do for now! :)

Hard to go wrong with a Ruger 10/22, and you can still find them all over.B|

As for your ar and 308? eh, already got all those:P

(taps foot on ground impatiently)

I don't see ANY mention of ammo in that list, young man! >:(

Nina, there is still plenty of ammo down here, i think shipping it to you would be cost prohibitive though.:D

Oh, like my driving to the San Marcos area would be any better? I drive a big pickup with a V-8 engine. I don't think it would be very cost effective for me to drive to get it either! ;)

Damned if I do.

Damned if I don't.

So you could get the Bushmaster with the piston system. That's pretty clean...

I've really been thinking about building another upper, using LaRue upper and quad rail and getting a tax stamp for a 12"-ish barrel. Although there is that Kel-Tec I've been wanting to buy and I'd really like to get one of those Sig 556 pistols. Yes, pistol.

EDIT:

Can't order the parts until I'm home, though...that's the sucky part.

Sure you can. Order on the 'net, get it sent to Nina's place. Only serialized parts can't be done that way. Everything else you can take care of. Get on LaRue's site, BravoCompanyUSA, Cheaperthandirt and spend all of your hard earned cash :P

...and the grandfather clause was a beautiful thing. I could still get my 15 round RUGER P95 a year later in 1995. :)
Edit to add: AWESOME sig line AggieDave!

aloha.

Didn't think of that... anyplace to get a receiver in a short period, when I'm home?

Recommended parts list? I'm considering 18" barrel, flat top, buis and collapsible stock. Not worried about lights or bipods. Looking at the EOTech holo sight.
