boinky 0 #1 January 25, 2009 So I went to Walmart to buy ammo for my gun. I own a .357 revolver. I just LOVE my gun. I use .38 special bullets and recently used up my box of 100 at the shooting range. I needed my "fix" so that I can go shoot again this week. Can you believe that they were out of ammo? And they informed me that everyone else in town is out of ammo too. I called my local gun range. They said that they only have 10 boxes of 50 rounds left. It seems that folks are stockpiling because of the new president. Has anyone else come across this problem? It's freakin' crazy!!! They only had a few boxes a couple weeks ago We've been buying bricks of 9mm each month and now that I have a new .223 AR to go with the 9mm AR and a new .38 airlight S&W for the wifes conceal gun we have more ammo to stock up onAt least prices haven't gone through the roof yet for the ammo. Just wait until they try to put serial numbers on them. You better buy them now MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT Life is Short and we never know how long we are going to have. Amazon 7 #3 January 25, 2009 Nope... I was at Wally World today and picked up some .22 I have all that I need for the forseeable future in all calibers I shoot. AND I have dies and bullets and primers for each calber as well Last gun show... there was no shortage of ammo I could see although plenty of people were buying. I even bought a few tins of the russian stuff. The price of everything is up though... demand I guess and all the silly people out there who thing OBAMA IS GONNA TAKE MY GUNS. JohnMitchell 16 #25 January 25, 2009 I got powder, primers. bullets, brass and dies. That and 6000 rounds of rimfire and a couple of cases of 12 gauge ought to keep me content for a while. It'll take the Obama gang a few weeks/months to push through any punitive tax on ammunition (I hope). We'll have time to stock up, I think. In the meantime, the price of brass, lead, etc. on the world market has taken a nose dive. or , depending on your world view.
