Facial Tattoos

Is there a good reason, outside of cultural/religious reasons, to get a facial tattoo? An amazing number of wanted people are quickly and easily identified by distinct facial or neck tattoos. Those people include both men and women and is most definitely not limited to racial divisions.

This news story reminded me of this after laughing about it at work for obvious reasons this past week.

Isome and Tibtani were being held on $1.25 million bond. Their next court date was scheduled for Jan. 30.

The reason why I limited this post to facial tattoos is that just about any other location on the body can be reasonably covered with out attracting undue attention.

Personally, I have nothing against tattoos, I have two of them myself; however, the tattoos I have are easily covered and a lot of people don't know I have any ink.

We don't have to encourage, a decent number of people choosing to operate outside the boundaries of our society of law also choose to get bad facial tattoos.

Basically on a personal level I'm at a loss as to the thought process that goes into getting a facial tattoo. A lot of those tattoos are received at a sterile legally operated shop. Its in some guy's kitchen with a home made ink gun.

Some months back I read about a violent gang in some other country (I've forgotten) in which the gang members all had face tattoos. Well, the authorities had their fill and began going after them with a vengeance, which of course was very easy since you could identify a member just by looking at his face. So the gang had begun a recruiting drive looking for new members, and encouraging them *not* to get face tattoos.

It seems there is a correlation between violent criminals, and people who are too stupid to be able to think about the consequences of the choices they make.

You're thinking of MS13. Yes they get facial tattoos. Some of the ones in the US are starting to wise up and stay away from the really obvious facial tattoos. And yes, they are exceptionally violent.

Yup, MS13 is all over the US and has started waging war against the latin kings, among others. There's also a significant connection between MS13 and La Familia (mexican mafia).

The world, regardless of where you live or how much you make, is a dangerous place. That added to that a large majority of people are fairly unobservant of their surroundings and the people around them, leave people to be the victims of the people that would do harm.

I'm not being fatalistic or saying that everyone is in immediate extreme danger; I'm just saying that there is danger out there and simply believing you can't be a victim or ignoring it won't keep you safe.

I live in a nice town. I live in a nice part of town. I still see gang bangers at the grocery store, around town and the neighboring town and other places. I even saw a couple of gang bangers leaving Olive Garden last night. No, I'm not clumping someone with a crooked hat and baggy pants as a banger, I'm talking about people with obvious flags. (Although I wonder what going to Olive Garden for dinner does for their street cred).

You can cover anything nowadays with make-up.

I helped a 12 year old girl learn how to use make-up to cover a port wine birthmark that covers a third of her face. She wants to look "normal" and I can't say I blame her (although I do think she looks beautiful without make-up and told her so). If make-up can cover up stuff like that, it can cover up a tattoo.

one of the dive tenders on our dive team has his whole face done in tribal. he used an invisible ink that is only visible under black light. looks normal in regular light you wouldnt even know, but turn on a fluorescent black light and he turns into a fucking freak...

another guy boat hand or galley hand. had a huge tattoo of a girlfriend/wife tattooed on his neck. guess they broke up or some shit because now he has a super huge unevenly shaded green box like shape on his neck....shit looks so fucking stupid. i would have just hooked up with another Mellisa instead of going that route

My brother while in the middle of a divorce has a one nighter with the ex. She talks him into getting each others names tattoo'd on their necks. Of course they still get divorced, Now he has a big "CANCELLED" on his neck. People actually get a laugh when they ask what it means. His first choice was a big "Dont drink and ink" I like the Cancelled better. She hates it, so I like it even more.
