As far as US federal funding, since 1983 the Hyde Amendment limits Medicaid funding for abortions only to cases of rape, incest, &/or life endangerment.

I will admit I was a bit taken back by this warning. Personal responsibilities and consequences for one’ actions is what I was trying to point out.
