Polar Bears and Global Warming

Recommended Posts

You mean the same Al Gore who made a compilation of other people's work and got a Nobel Prize for it? I think we should feed him to the polar bears.

>Find out why the bears are dissappearing and you'll solve global warming.

I've got it! They're turning into pizzlies, and pizzlies are a lot warmer than polar bears! In addition, pizzlies are a little darker in color, and thus absorb more solar radiation, warming the planet.

Fortunately, this trend has been counteracted by the proliferation of McDonald's in northern Canada. People frequenting McDonald's instead of Taco Bell generate less methane, and thus reduce total anthropogenic greenhouse emissions.

Polar bears aren't white. They have black skin with white fur.:P wlliy

Seriously, their fur isn't white; that's an optical illusion. In fact, polar bears' fur is neutral translucent; the fur acts like fiber optic threads to focus sunlight on the skin underneath, thereby keeping the bear warm. Polar bears can easily overheat, and frequently when they lay belly-down on the ice, it's to cool themselves down.

Well, they need to start laying belly-down longer. :P

It's daylight savings time! The polar bears are staying in the sun too long.
