Well there is nothing new here. Wolf does a good job of collating what anyone paying attention already knew; the military(surveillance, penal) - industrial complex exerts constant pressure on democratic institutions, and the last eight years have especially trying. The question is will the Obama administration conduct a holding action or push-back?

I think she's too politically skewed, or else she's not that bright. First time I ever heard of her was in October when she said Bush's coup was taking place and we would never see an election.

You say that like it's not in the realm of possibility.... Lest we forget that other worlf powers have ended; Rome, Egypt, the Mayans, etc, etc... I'm sure back then people were saying: "how many times have we heard it's the end?..." also.

American's aren't as special as we make ourselves out to be. We're just human beings like everyone else.....who happened to be abundantly privileged, blessed and fortunate - until now.

The world is slightly different than Roman and Mayan ages. The Soviet Union completely collapsed and the society didn't cease to exist. The housing market taking a dump and the Dow dipping below 8,000 is hardly the end of the world.

and it doesn't change the fact, that the majority of people
1)is to lazy to care
2) is to absorbed in their everydaylive to care (working for food/shelter etc)
3) is so deep into this system, that nobody even wants to try and make a change

point 4) maybe som[email]e even realize that no matter how hard we (as single persons) try to make a difference we still ave to come to the conclusion we are parts of the system and as such just pawns to be moved around

I think her attempt to awaken the people to the danger has failed. No one cared. Not even the incoming admin. I'm also surprised that Bush hasn't perpetrated the final stage of a the coup that he was obviously planning.

Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off.
