TheAnvil 0 #3 January 3, 2009 And where were they when Hamas was lobbing missiles at the Israeli's? These protestors don't want peace. They want Israel to sit back and allow Hamas to shoot rockets into civilian neighborhoods at will. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! kelpdiver 2 #4 January 3, 2009 QuoteQuotePeople around the world have been protesting against Israel's continuing military operation in Gaza. Read that as Muslims around the world are protesting. Of course they wouldn't be protesting the launching of rockets by Hamas during and at the conclusion of the cease fire. Why weren't there Jews protesting around the world? For starters, they're are a lot fewer of them - not quite 5M outside of Israel.
shropshire 0 #5 January 3, 2009 I understood (from what I heard on the News) that some Jews were also protesting. I'm not picking side, BTW, I don't know anywhere near enough about this...... But as usual, I'm concerned about the innocents caught in the cross-fire. (.)Y(.) Innocents will always be at increased risk in a guerrilla style fight (see Vietnam), but it's heightened when those warriors use the civilians as shields. They voted in Hamas as their leadership, knowing the end result. Maybe it's time for them to undo this decision; until then, they're not quite so innocent. TheAnvil 0 #7 January 3, 2009 The only choice they had was Fatah, which was so corrupt it's not even funny. They were damned either way. Neither Hamas nor Fatah have the true interests of the Gaza Strip civilian populace truly at heart. Both Fatah and its Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade and Hamas are so corrupt and full of hate they are incapable of governing. Really feel for the public there. Hamas brought this offensive on - invited it no less. They don't give a DAMN about their own people. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! JohnRich 4 #8 January 4, 2009 That's odd - I don't recall any news headlines about the World protesting over Hamas firing hundreds of rockets into Israeli settlements... There would seem to be a double standard here.
