JohnRich 4 #3 November 21, 2008 Quote: Mr. Boumediene and the others are Algerians who moved to Bosnia in the 1990s to aid fellow Muslims in the wars surrounding Yugoslavia's breakup. They were granted Bosnian citizenship or residency, and were living in Sarajevo in 2001. Local authorities arrested them after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, at the behest of U.S. forces who said they had linked the men to a plot to attack the American Embassy in Sarajevo... The government dropped the embassy plot allegation this year, and instead argued that the Bosnians had planned to travel to Afghanistan to fight U.S. forces. So, would you be comfortable with these men being released to live in YOUR neighborhood in Flossmoor, Illinois? DanG 1 #4 November 21, 2008 Um, maybe you should continue reading. There was no evidence against these men. The only "evidence" they had was the word of a convicted felon, who was repudiated in another case by the government themselves as a liar. I think the question should be, "Would you be comfortable with men from YOUR neighborhood in Texas being held without trial with the same low evidenciary standards?" My answer is no. Maybe yours is different. - Dan G

Well, since the US govt has found zero evidence linking them with terrorism in the 7 years that they've been held in captivity (and apparently can't even make up its mind what kind of terrorism to link them to) - yeah.Do you want to have an ideagasm? christelsabine 1 #7 November 21, 2008 You forgot about the rest, JR. Why not just bringing them back to where they've been before beeing kidnapped? You have problems with a moustache or black eyebrows? Take care, JR, to never leave your soil. You surely know that outside TX, those black haired people use to eat folks of different colour (best blond, blue eyed, fat men). Jeez, reading your BS is like going back into the 18th century.
