JohnRich 4 #1 November 20, 2008 I remember a lot of religious-bashing going on here, and it was clear to me that some people would have a real problem voting for a Christian. Even George Bush got some crap for being a Christian. So would it affect you?
Andrewwhyte 1 #2 November 20, 2008 Yes it does matter to me. When the right fractured in Canada about 15 years ago the Reform Party was led by a born again Christian. I was very concerned about this until I had the opportunity to have lunch with him and he convinced me that although he used his faith for his moral compass, he was enough of a populist to recognize that on some issues he was offside his constituents' wishes, and would fulfill his duty to the people he worked for. Since then I have voted for a BA candidate who I later realized would not act in that fashion, and I now (tepidly) support a BA Prime Minister. I remain very tentative in my support. christelsabine 1 #3 November 20, 2008 Your president is no Christian? Quelle surprise ... I do not know what our president believes in, I do not care. Let him believe in the man in the moon, as long as his job here on earth is done first class, why to complain? dudeist skydiver # 3105

downwardspiral 0 #5 November 20, 2008 Nope....it wouldn't affect me at all as long as the candidate doesn't allow their religion to make their decisions. Palin is a good example of this....so far.www.FourWheelerHB.com
LOSTandCRAZY 0 #6 November 20, 2008 Obama's a Christian. That didn't stop me. Like I stated in a previous post, at least he acts like it. I REALLY doubt that Jesus would be dropping bombs on Baghdad. I never saw Jesus torture a terror suspect, either, as I recall. He mostly rubbed oil on people's heads and fed them. "Peace on Earth, goodwill toward men". 'Nuff said."Get these balls!" Cari 0 #7 November 21, 2008 The only way that Chrisianity would affect my vote would be if the candidate seemed to allow his or her religious views to hinder their ability to make sound political decisions. The same would apply to any religion, for that matter.
