One way or another, it'd get spent on a toy or in some irresponsible manner. Blues, Dave Why a bushy? Flexibility in a unique package. AR's are just too common. Blues, Dave I get that, but why not a Rock River, DPMS, etc..? Ive found that they shoot just as well, are just as flexible, and are usually a bit cheaper than the Bushmaster. Honestly, I believe the reason bushmasters cost so much is because people THINK they are top of the line and either havent heard of the other brands out there or just dont know any better. But, to each his own.Muff #5048

I was thinking of get a Sig 556, but a friend advised me that parts might be tough to come by if a ban is reinstated. If I want something similarly unique, but amenable to a wider supply of parts, the ACR would seem to fit the bill. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" mnealtx 0 #30 November 13, 2008 I'm definitely considerng an AR just for fun plinking - but I want a piston gas system. The Sig 556 looks pretty nice in that regard. I'm also looking at getting some sort of 308 - probably a Savage 10 or 110Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706

jgoose71 0 #35 November 15, 2008 I said "other". I'm going to spend it all at Wallmart so it can all go back to China where the government loaned the money from to give us the stimulus check anyway. prodiver913 0 #37 November 20, 2008 My buddy has a DPMS Panther 308. The fucking thing is sick. He's got a lot of other stuff invested on it too. $2000 scope, among others. But he loves it. I'm completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death.
