I did find this but it is more along the lines of an employee at a store that DID provide the meds and he refused to on his own.

This might be what I was trying to remember....

What I really find interesting here is the cases the ACLU picks

Right, like when the ACLU defended Ollie North and Adm. Poindexter.

Is there a definition of the affliction you have that keeps you from staying on topic?..
Start a new thread if you have to but I think you can concentrate long enough to keep a thread on line:S

As opposed to posters who dangle out vague bait when they could actually make a point.

Like any one entity, the ACLU does not have unlimited resources. That means they pick and choose.

And we already know that they only see 9 articles in the Bill of Rights.

I agree that they do not have unlimited monies but, the choices and cases they have picked show a pattern.

Really, which one do you think they're leaving out? They've gone to bat a number of times for every single one of the 10 Amendments.

Case in point; http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/05/us/05guns.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

But I just showed you that they don't "always" do that.

If you want some organization to ALWAYS fight for the 2nd, you have the NRA. The ACLU has a different mission statement which is to cover all of the Bill of Rights. They pick the battles they can win and let go of the ones they can't. It's just good business.

Better business is not to antagonize those who believe in all the rights, and might make contributions, by asserting the collective militia myth.

If they had done that, I could give money to them to work 1, 3-27, and money to the NRA-ILA to work the 2nd.

So, for you it's either all in or all out. Even if they can and do help you sometimes, if they're not 100% for you, you want nothing to do with them.

Ok. Can you not see how that isn't really the best idea?

Right now we are seeing the wrath of those opposed to Prop 8 going against the churches, Utah, and the LDS in particular. And I don't blame them - the other side went out of their way to deny them basic rights.

Same is true for the ACLU wrt the right to bear arms. So fuck em. You can't say you're a defender of all rights and then work against them.
