Tuna-Salad 0 #27 November 4, 2008 There have been studies about this for years... My own personal opinion.. (for what its worth) I don't see violent games making people violent or wanting to bring a gun to school to waste their classmates. On the flip side I DO think these sort of games desensitize people to death and killing. - Not just children. The gore n stuff isn't near as bad as most horror movies and we know kids watch those. Fact is we all have a bit of violence in us or we wouldn't be playing these sort of games in the first place would we?Millions of my potential children died on your daughters' face last night. BikerBabe 0 #29 November 4, 2008 oh great. Quote Actually she's right. The majority of the people on my XboxLive friends list are 30 something professionals. absolutely. Jeanne, come on, when was that movie made? lol See, the kids who played video games when you were in junior high/high school/college are now adults, hence the 30-somethings who dominate my xbox friends list, my friends lists in my online games, and most of the gaming communities i observe. Now, to me, a truly interesting study would be to somehow compare the amount of real life violence exhibited by children of gamers who grow up with games vs. "first-gen" gamers whose parents never played games themselves.Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! PLFXpert 0 #32 November 4, 2008 Oops, forgot my smiley in that post. I meant to add: I've always said, a smiley makes all the difference. Though, with encouragement I've tried really hard to forgo them in this forum. See, right there I could have just added a face.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. downwardspiral 0 #33 November 4, 2008 You didn't need a smiley for that. It's a hilarious link. I was questioning her logic with regards to clearer labeling.www.FourWheelerHB.com
