futuredivot 0 #1 November 3, 2008 to the US after a few days in South America is having to reacclimate myself to our standard of customer service. Four star or roadside stand, down south you get treated like you are valued by staff and proprieters. I just walked out of a McD's in Hollywood, Fl because girlfriend was too busy chatting up her next babydaddy to take orders from the eight customers in line and it sounded like a 50 cent concert coming from the back. It's McD's for goodness sakes-when the standards are already that low, how do they find employees that push the limits of suck? You are only as strong as the prey you devour
TrophyHusband 0 #2 November 3, 2008 a few years ago i spent several weeks working in venezuela. the customer service there was by far the worst i've ever seen. i don't remember it being a problem in the rest of south america. shropshire 0 #3 November 3, 2008 I've had some great and not so great service every where I've been ... It's a lottery. It's not a country thing, it's a people thing... some of them just aren't very good at their jobs. I go back to the places where I've had good service and ignore the others. (.)Y(.) The level of service in the USofA is a LOT better than that here in OZ. But the living wage here for hospitality is WAY better than that afforded to those in the states. Tipping here is rare, and not an expectation, so the wait staff aren't tying to get a tip from you generally. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
