Palin makeup artist paid $22,800

An acclaimed celebrity makeup artist for Sarah Palin collected more money from John McCain’s campaign than McCain’s foreign policy adviser.

Amy Strozzi, who also works on the reality show “So You Think You Can Dance,” was paid $22,800, according to campaign finance reports for the first two weeks in October. In contrast, McCain’s foreign policy adviser, Randy Scheunemann, was paid $12,500, the report showed.

I'm thinking the make up artist does a tad more work than the advisor. I mean McCain looks like he is 50!!! :P

I think you misread the article. It's PALIN's makeup artist who is paid more than the foreign policy advisor.

I wonder if they will donate the used makeup to charity after Sarah has finished with it.

on a side note it only takes $1 million to get 30 minutes of primetime air time on a major network.

Anyone else think that's cheap?

I like the idea of a cheap bastard in the White House. People who spend $23k of someone else's money on makeup and $250k on clothes in a month shouldn't be trusted anywhere near the public pursestrings.

yet....

According to Advertising Age, Obama is on track to spend more on TV ads in the last 25 days of the race than McCain's entire campaign.

....is not a problem.

Eh, his contributors gave him the money; it's basically his. Let em spend it on hookers and whiskey if they want.

If he's got it to spend (not public funds, after all), then what does it matter?
I loved hearing Michelle Obama say she buys her clothing online from JCrewe.B|

You do realize the amount of money he is going to have to spend come January right?

Sure I do. And as long as it didn't come out of my pocket or yours...who cares? Obviously, people of money and influence love him and/or his message/strategy.

I believe his implication was that he was getting an incredibly good deal, perhaps to the point of suspicion.

I imagine Thursday would have been substantially more expensive, but after Thurs and Sunday, the networks have pretty lousy product, so maybe it's within reason. We do know that 30 seconds during the superbowl averages several million.

"Sarah Palin says she doesn't know why most women don't support her candidacy or why others believe she is unqualified to be vice president"

Maybe the fact that she can't figure out for herself why most women find her extreme anti-choice views unpalatable is one of the reasons that people find her unqualified. She's out of touch.
