miked10270 0 #51 October 27, 2008 doesn't it depend (in practical car-engine terms) on the degree of modification to the engine in favour of one fuel or another? For example, the Ethanol variant of the Koenigsegg produces some 20% more power than the equivalent petrol engine. While consumption may rise, isn't this immaterial at 400+kM/h? Mike. jakee 1,594 #52 October 27, 2008 QuoteQuotePer the most recent University of Minnesota studies, it's 1.25 to 1. So for every gallon of "energy" you put in you get 1.25 gallons of "energy" out. So, my numbers were the same as yours: Put in 4 gallons of energy, get out 1.25*4=5 gallons of energy, for a net gain of 1 gallon. Burn that 1 gallon and the 4 required to make it. So, burn 5 gallons to get energy of one gallon. Your numbers are the same, but Bill understands them and you don't. It's a net gain of 1 gallon of energy, not a gross product of 1 gallon of energy. Put 4 in, get 5 for the tank.Do you want to have an ideagasm?
ChasingBlueSky 0 #53 October 27, 2008 Quote Take, for example, his ethnicity: He's American (tick) and black (tick) with roots in the Muslim (tick) and Christian (tick) faith. His family come from Africa (tick) through Hawaii (tick) and now Ireland (tick). You have a problem with someone becoming diverse directly because of this country? This is very common and I'm not sure why it would even matter to anyone. If I was just go back to my great-grandparents I'm looking at nearly just as many diverse backgrounds. But since I have white skin no one cares._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... If you read the false ATM robbery thread, you would know it was. The scary part about those people? They prefer to believe outrageous lies over proof just so they can feel better about their own ignorance._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... rickjump1 0 #59 October 27, 2008 Quote the results of this poll make me truly sad. I suppose i should be happy that "he's a socialist" is winning...i mean, it's only beating "he's black" by two votes So much for us being enlightened, not racist, or open minded. Whoever you plan to vote for, you might take a look at this and lament a little for America. One would think in the 21st century we would have come a little further than that. I wish number 1,"he's black", was left out. No doubt people are having a field day with it. I may be a little naive, but I doubt we have that many racists onboard here. I don't like the man, but it's not because he's black (careful, democrats and the candidate himself, love to throw that fact right in your face). Given choices, I think Bill Cosby is a better candidate. No joke.Do your part for global warming: ban beans and hold all popcorn farts.
klingeme 1 #60 October 28, 2008 QuoteSo what is your problem (assuming you have one) with Barak Obama? Be honest, no one will know what you voted. Of course if you'd like to expand on your vote and say what your problem is in a post then great. If you are honest in your responses then this should be quite interesting. Thanks for voting. P.S Would have added 'his lack of experience' but couldn't change the poll optons after the post went up. Edited to keep the abortion discussion out of this thread. I vote none of the above, but that is not available so I'm obstaining. I don't like the fact that he will raise my Bosses Business tax, thus making the cost of a container go up, thus making sales go down, thus make me take a salary cut or me losing my job. On the plus side, you will pay less tax, and thus it may all even out. Even better, since many of your bosses' customers will get tax cuts as well (assuming you sell retail) they will be able to buy more stuff - thus increasing his profits.
