Jus' Browsin'

Recommended Posts

Is it time for a little light relief from a certain election?:S

Since SC contains such a diverse & discerning group, I wondered which is the preferred Browser for scurfing the internet?

Just to keep it here...and away from all those bloody VIBES:

Do Y'All use the ObamaOpen-Source Firefox by Mozilla or is it the Evil-Empire Internet Explorer by Bill "Palin" Gates?

Obviously, there's a Write-In option for those who may have a better alternative.

Quaint....though Bill Gates plays both sides of the fence...he backed Sen. Kerry and President Bush in 2004 and he's on the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee...;)

So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

I switch between IE & Firefox. I find IE is sometimes slightly faster than Firefox. But Firefox has ad-blocker, which is nice, and tends to make sites like DZ.com faster. Down-sides: IE tends to be targeted by more browser-hijacker shit than Firefox. Firefox is a larger program, so sometimes it's a bit slower. FF also has a few software glitches interacting with the DZ.com site.

1 more thing I just remembered - I have a lot of trouble accessing PDF documents thru Firefox. No such problem with IE.

Yeah, I like it. It's small and compact (and so "seems" faster). but I've not been able to Block Adds, which is a problem for me.

Opera is good, because of the built in Torrent engine and had Tabs and a main switch screen before IE.
