I have been involved with HfH since '95 and volunteered for 2 JCWPs. For an ex Prez, he does a lot to help instead of raking in money for speaking engagements. Agree or not with his policy stands, he has done a lot of good for people in need.50 donations so far. Give it a try. Agree or not with his policy stands, he has done a lot of good for people in need. What he said. After a lifetime of stellar acheivement, he didn't succeed as President, so the American people dealt with it as befits a healthy democracy. He then picked himself up out of that dust, and went on trying to devote the remainder of his life being a quality human being, in large part for the benefit of others. Jimmy's tried to Walk the Walk. He earns 8 or 9 cheers for every 1 or 2 jeers he earns. I guess that makes him human. Not much honor in using him as a pinata. Andy9o8 2 #17 October 15, 2008 Quote What was the best thing he ever did? Since he left office? A lot of this stuff: Quote http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSTRE4993TS20081010?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews&rpc=22&sp=true [October 10, 2008] Carter was on his way back from a private peace mission to Cyprus with fellow elder statesmen Lakhdar Brahimi of Algeria and Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa, intended to give a push to talks between the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders on a settlement to reunite the divided island. What a selfish bastard; clearly he did that just to line his pockets. Above is example of the 8 or 9 cheers he rightfully gets for every 1 or 2 jeers he rightfully gets for stuff like Chavez. As far as what he did in office, well, he left office in 1981, so there's no timeliness to bashing him now. Your OP might as well be a drunk post for all the sense it makes.
