It is indeed shocking that in 2004, the date of these videos, the Republicans controlled the White House, the Senate, and the House, and all the congressional committees, yet did nothing about it.

Shame on the Republicans.

it is a shame that the hate for one man, (Bush) can cause very intelegent people to close their eyes and ears to the facts and that they might be wrong or do the wrong thing just to spite their hate.

What died? Was there a bill, and if so what was it? all the video showed were a bunch of speakers in the HOUSE, not the Senate.

Rick Davis is McCain's campaign manager. The guy whose firm made $15,000 a month from Fannie/Freddie until last month. The guy who made nearly $2M as a fannie/freddie lobbiest.

Well, there's someone on this forum that keeps claiming that loans in low income neighborhoods caused this financial crisis, but he has yet to produce one shred of evidence that this is the case. In fact, the only data he produced showed exactly the opposite but he STILL continues to make the claim.

Nope, last check two years ago. No income and asset level in the company (that is getting paid) frozen for him.

IF he was involved in the cooking of the books and not just a lobbiest (which last time I checked is still legal) then you might have a bitch. As it is, you dont.
HE didnt defer 200 million in expenses so HE and Jamie could get 1.2 and .78 million dollar bonuses. HE did not make 90 Million dollars in 6 years from Fannie. HE did not have to pay back 25 million in fines and excesses.

YOU are full of Bush Derangement Syndrome and a Democractic hack (for this topic anyway)

Then there is this.

Plenty of money to spread around, apparently.

Nice opinion piece there sir kallend:D:D

You keep speaking to the CRA and JUST the sub-prime loans. I am going to step out on a limb and ask, are you just posting to the mortgage loans?

Do you know what the CRA also FORCED banks to do?

If you do, you have been dishonest in your posts. If you dont, you better bone up.

Tried looking up Gramm Leach Bliley Act? The one that McCain's advisor Phil Gramm co-authored.

Try looking up "Keating 5".

Try looking up "Enron Loophole".

In addition to not making a case, you are tossing stones from a very exposed glass house.

You are pissing on the wrong tree buddy.

As I have stated many times I dont like McCain.

Even though much of what you post about him is either out of context or misleading. Just like the very neutral MSNBC youtube link you just put up.

But now, you are getting your ass stomped on this thread and you yet again, try and redirect the topic.

Why dear sir? Is that what our teachers do when they are wrong?:S:S

Shhhhheeesssshh buddy, try and focus and stay on topic for a change[:/]

Oh, like the video in the OP was unbiased.:|

You have some strange ideas, Marc.

And since you insist on remaining on one small topic, the GOP had control of Senate, House and White House, chairmanship of the banking committee, a majority on the banking committee, weren't stopped by a filibuster, and still didn't get their bill passed.

And McCain's campaign manager got $2M from Fannie/Freddie to lobby against regulatory reform.

And McCain himself braggs over and over about being a "deregulator".

Nice glass house on a hill you've built there.

In 2005 the GOP had control of Senate, House and White House, chairmanship of the banking committee, a majority on the banking committee, weren't stopped by a filibuster, and still didn't get their bill passed. Talk about absence of leadership!

And McCain's campaign manager got $2M from Fannie/Freddie to lobby against regulatory reform.

And McCain himself braggs over and over about being a "deregulator".

And McCain supported Gramm Leach Bliley.

And McCain's advisor Phil Gramm accepted over $750,000 from UBS, which has over $18BILLION in sub-prime mortgages.

And McCain's advisor Phil Gramm sponsored the legislation creating the Enron Loophole while his wife was working for Enron.

Nice glass house on a hill you've built there.
