airdvr 210 #1 September 30, 2008 If Obama wins...Republicans and Independents who voted for McCain will pull themselves up by the bootstraps and try again in 4 years. If McCain wins...Democrats and Independents who voted for Obama will cry "vote fraud" and "we demand a recount". There will be sporatic rioting in the streets in some larger cities. Stories will emerge about people not being allowed to vote in some of the larger democrat ares. Key words like disenfranchisement and social engineering will be thrown about. Mark my words. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
kallend 2,146 #2 September 30, 2008 You reckon? I wonder why I keep hearing about the "dead vote" from Republicans in Chicago 48 years after the 1960 elections.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

kelpdiver 2 #5 September 30, 2008 yet it was the GOP operatives who started riots in Florida to prevent vote recounts in 2000.

airdvr 210 #7 September 30, 2008 Quoteyet it was the GOP operatives who started riots in Florida to prevent vote recounts in 2000. Woohoo...GOP operatives...sounds like a vast right wing conspiracy. Any proof to back that up?Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
kelpdiver 2 #8 September 30, 2008 Are you suggesting all the people who flew into Florida were acting individually? Of course they had direction, just as the Democrats in Florida did. There's no question they got the recount halted until it was too late. (and to keep things non partisan, eventually no doubt that Bush won the state) If the GOP loses an election similar to 2000, they'll be bitching plenty. I remember when B-1 Dornan was one of the first orange country republicans to lose to a Latina. Suddenly there was the sourge of illegal alien voters. You can fantasize all you like about pulling up their boots and preparing for 2010/12, but it ain't the truth. However, with McCain's failure today to pass 'his' relief bill, it may not be a close enough election for them to complain too much.
Gawain 0 #9 September 30, 2008 It tickles me that you still can't let go...even though he'll be out of the office in four months. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
