People who vote principally on the gun issue have already made up their mind who they're voting for - they already know Obama's for gun control and McCain is for gun rights. So how does your post influence swing voters who don't really have strong feelings, either way, about gun laws? (believe it or not, there are a lot of them.)

SB2386: Self defense with a firearm is an affirmative defense against municipal firearms bans. Also, self defense is immune to liability. (Sounds good, but its not)

Senate amendment No 1 gutted the affirmative defense against municipal bans and added a liability shield for homeowners who defend themselves. Barak Obama was not a sponsor until after the amendment gutted the bill. This one is barely a pro-gun vote.

Just looking at the first two that you find objectionable, I suppose we can now take it that

(1) you APPROVE of illegal gunrunning, and

(2) you don't think the police should try to trace the source of illegal guns.

I suspect you're in a minority even among LAW ABIDING gun owners.

Not much there, what you need.

That alone is enough, but when you are a US Citizen, it makes these issues far more important.;)

Foreign citizens don't have the right to voice an opinion of intra-US politics? Hmmmm, I bet SOME Americans voice their opinion of Europe.....nah, couldn't happen.

While you're breaking your head about Obama's ideas about 2nd Amendment - this, dear Warped, could be your VP - with that interview, she really had laughs at her side. Awkward.

Just watch the video - the rest is in German which you surely do not understand.

Katie Couric is dazzling. A tough reporter.

Cheers.

Does your own opinion disregard any of our constitutional rights, or are some of them okay to do away with?

I'm for gun ownership, although let's be real, having guns handy likely bodes well toward violence. I won't be naive and act as if violence can't happen w/o guns, it certainly does, but I want my firearm even tho they are an added evil in a country based upon violence.

But as far as voting goes, there are other little issue like:

- Healthcare
- Iraq
- Afghanistan
- Runaway inflation
- Debt
- Deficit
- Class disparity
- and several other issues worthy of considering.

Besides, the ultimate legislators, the SCOTUS, just passed their decision on gun ownership, so whatever is passed will be trumped.

Hey, what ever happened to the, "Activist Judges" rhetoric; I didn't hear any with that decision? Oh, that's right, it's only activist when it goes against the right wing, since that is their rhetoric. Anyway, don't worry about gun ownership, it's not going anywhere.
