Palin supports a constitutional amendment to outlaw abortions for rape and incest victims. Watch it again.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. Projection, I suppose. It's funny to watch Obama's supporters constantly accuse his detractors of racism. Even funnier to watch McCain supporters show off their lack of reading comprehension. If you read the conversation, you'll see that the poster I replied to was the one that made the claim that Obama supporters support him because of his race.Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! PALIN: I would. I would. And you know, it's no secret that I'm pro-life. And I don't hide that, nor am I ashamed of that, and I am pro-life... and yes, a proposal like that, I would stand by it. From Gibson's interview: Gibson: Roe v. Wade. Do you think it should be reversed? Palin: I think it should.... Gibson: John McCain would allow abortion on cases of rape and incest. You believe in it only in the case where the life of the mother is -- is endangered. Palin: That is my personal opinion. Gibson: Would you change and accept it in rape and incest? Palin: My personal opinion is that abortion allowed if the life of the mother is endangered.

As the VP to a President in his 70s, whose body was ravaged (i.e., aged) in captivity and who's had cancer, she could very well succeed to the Presidency. Once there, she'd likely have the chance to appoint very conservative, anti-abortion justices who could overturn Roe v. Wade. So that's what makes her personal ideology extremely relevant. See my argument above - she didn't do it when she was Governor of Alaska, but now she's suddenly going to do it ***IF*** she succeeds to President? By your logic, Obama would appoint very liberal judges that would overturn the late term abortion ban. At least in THAT case, there *is* precedent, as a bill to mandate care for children surviving late term abortions died in his committee in the Illinois Senate.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim.
