birdlike 0 #26 September 28, 2008 QuoteQuoteQuote300,000+ "law abiding gun owners" whose weapons fall into the hands of criminals each year (source, US DoJ report). Keeping in mind that any stolen gun is by definition in the hands of a criminal and that any burgler worth his salt is going to try to find a victim's guns because they can be resold. So the report is not saying that 300,000 guns are stolen and used in crimes. . Once in the hands of criminals they are illegal guns and mere possession is a crime. Your argument is both silly and pure sophistry. Besides, it's 300,000 thefts. some of which involve more than one gun, so it's well over 300k guns. Then why aren't we reading about 300k+ gun crimes/homicides each year?Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire
jdthomas 0 #27 September 28, 2008 what the hell happend to my post in this thread, why did it end up in the recycle bin???? just to restate my origional post to this incident at the 7-11 as it did relate to this event. The police did make a statement that was out of the norm for police statements. usally you get, don't do what this clerk did and you should just give the robber what they want, but not this time... the police said basiclly good job! This is also in the same area as posted by others and is noted a bad spot in town, this area is also part of the pennvally area and as I stated before can get sketchy at best. Drugs are exchanged here and gay sex is solicted by men trolling the skateboard park that is in this area, just the other day a man was beaten to death in this park.. this is a fact and I am not gay bashing if thats why my statements got pulled.. It is fact and when my friends and I have had to call the police to the park on many occassions for the gay men solicitng the young boys at the park then it's not singeling out a group as the group seems to operate like that in fact! Many of my adult skater friends now carry concealed handguns at this park and it's a sad day for skatebaorders and other people who want to use a public park have to arm themselves to enjoy the day! Kc is getting crazy and it's a bummer. Joewww.greenboxphotography.com
