TheBachelor 5 #1 September 23, 2008 Per USA Today, Joe Biden and his wife gave an average of $369 to charity a year over the past decade. His best year was last year, giving .3% of his income, while his $120 in 1999, about .1% of his income was his lowest. I understand now, he just wants to give OTHER PEOPLE'S money to the needy. alw 0 #2 September 23, 2008 I've got to say that many people don't claim their charitable contributions religiously. They tithe to their church, donate time and effort, and contribute ad hoc without noting it. --------------------------------------------- Every day is a bonus - every night is an adventure. TankBuster 0 #4 September 24, 2008 Bachelor I'm sorry that your post didn't get many responses, but I expected it. Biden claimed every other deduction he had, it's reasonable to expect that he would have deducted charitable contributions. There are several on this forum who constantly beat up conservatives as being heartless and uncaring. They are hoping your thread dies a quick death. The forecast is mostly sunny with occasional beer. TheBachelor 5 #5 September 24, 2008 Yeah, somehow I expected some pseudo-factual reply from Billvon or Quade. So, a black mark against a democrat that there's no excuse for? I think that's a first for dropzone.com. Note: By using the term "black mark", I'm not being racist, as some apologetics might claim. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
Andy9o8 3 #6 September 25, 2008 You might be right as rain. But the average redneck mofo doesn't give to charity, and the average rich snot who only votes his tax bill only gives a bit of largesse to get the tax deduction. And both of them always vote "R" anyway, so they don't really give a shit about the issue. And I don't see many swing votes being swung on the basis of the Bidens' charitable giving (or lack thereof). Bottom line: nobody gives a shit.

And, I challenge you to provide some actual facts rather than speak to what the "average reneck mofo" and "average rich snot" actually give. And Bachelor really does get to the heart of politics here. Rely on Nanny Federal government to help people in need, or rely on first each other, then local, then maybe state government. Liberals assume the worst in all cases. "Gov HAS to do it, individuals won't." Biden's a true liberal. The forecast is mostly sunny with occasional beer.
