grimmie 186 #1 September 21, 2008 The right wingers always chide the left on welfare and entitlement programs. The Republicans are worried Obama wants to turn our country into Socialism. A talking head on cable news said a few months ago, "How can we elect a Democrat, they will just spend, spend, spend." News flash folks. The Republicans have just given out the biggest welfare check in the history of America and turned us into a Socialist economy. And they wanted Wall Street to run Social Security and retirement funds. Some folks need to be in jail.

The $700B bailout corresponds to over $2,300 for EVERY man, woman and child in the country.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. TankBuster 0 #3 September 21, 2008 Ah, Bush has proposed the plan, and Congress must aprove it. Both houses, in case you didn't know, are controlled by Democrats. I'm totally against this bailout move, but blaming it on one party or just repeating the lib mantra of "its Bush's fault" is pretty silly. The forecast is mostly sunny with occasional beer. lawrocket 3 #4 September 21, 2008 How dare you suggest that Congress has any say in this whatsoever? They don't. The Bush admin so dominates and controls Congress that they have no choice but to rubber stamp every Bush proposal. Or so I've read on these forums. My wife is hotter than your wife.
