I think the McCain camp thinks she has 4 years to learn, as long as they can somehow get her into the White House (well, Naval Observatory, but you know what I mean.) Nevertheless, she is a fast learner, and is politically nimble. That will work well playing against McCain who is seen as somewhat old and inert.
