Amazon 7 #27 September 10, 2008 QuoteI think this is very well-put. I also thought he did a good job of putting forth my concerns about what has become a touchy point in our society. Far to many people in the Party of Morality have shown their true mettle in the do as I say not as I do. I absolutely abhor those who would force us to live by THEIR whacked out version of "THE LAW" as put forth in the 7th century AD or in 1500 BCE . Times have changed and those fundamental ideas in many cases should be relegated to antiquity. I want religion or the possibility of religion OUT of politics. Keep it private, worship god in the way you choose on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday in your own way.. but DO NOT expect me to do so as well. I grew up in a well churched family and I attended private parochial christian schools. I remember well how each of those schools thought that anyone not believing in their particular brand of dogma was going straight to hell . On the other hand you might get to purgatory...depending on which sect the school was a part of. So many heathens.. so little time.
