happythoughts 0 #3 September 8, 2008 Polar bears are white because, as the article stated, their hairs are hollow. My friend had a Samoyed dog with the typical white coat. They used a "mist machine" to keep the dog cool. It also developed a light green tint due to the algae.
Muenkel 0 #4 September 8, 2008 Those poor polar bears. Now they have to deal with the embarrasment of a bunch of people who look exactly alike pointing at them and saying 'look at the green polar bears'. There must be an organization out there that deals with building the self esteem of polar bears. _________________________________________ Chris

wmw999 2,603 #7 September 9, 2008 Last night I dreamt I was giving a bath to a green polar bear to wash the color out. I was thinking that it would be really bad to get soap in a polar bear's eyes. Then I got soap in his eyes, but fortunately I woke up before he ate me. I think I have to read more fluff in the newspapers Wendy W. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence.
