What warning system exists for earthquakes that gives comparable notice to the current one for hurricanes? Are you being deliberately obtuse, or is it past the tequila hour? I remember ... ah ... people ... being banned for calling others obtuse. Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire
TheAnvil 0 #52 September 2, 2008 Bah. It's ONLY Vinny...people insult me all the time and nobody cares...me least of all. PLEASE don't ban anybody for calling me obtuse, short, ugly, JACKASS, or anything - whatever mod is reading. I'm quite the happy Ooompah-Loompa looking fellow. I'm taking it easy on tequila and liquor and beer, by the way. Severe gout issues plaguing me. Still smiling regardless. The vast amount of research that gives us probabilities of aftershocks. We know with good certainty that earthquakes result in aftershocks; in my example you chose to stay to "risk it" - just as many New Orleaners did. >Are you on pain killers or something? No. Have you been hitting the tequila again? Normally you don't put so much effort into misunderstanding people.
TheAnvil 0 #54 September 2, 2008 No, dude, I'm staying away from tequila and taking it easy on booze in general. Had some wine at the symphony on Sunday and one beer at a BBQ on Saturday. Gout in my feet has been bothering me as of late. Avoiding red meat too and everything else on this stupid list of high-purine foods. birdlike 0 #55 September 2, 2008 From the symphony to a BBQ? Next you'll be off to the launching of a yacht, and then on to a pig-wrestling contest! Gout, huh? I hope you feel better right quick. I have no idea what that feels like but I know I don't want to know! A guy I used to work with also got it occasionally, and he couldn't walk when he did. Uric acid crystals in the tissues?! Holy crap!! Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire
