My brain and my fingers do not always agree with each other. For whatever reason, I typed 300,000+ million when the brain was thinking otherwise. Let's not derail this thread.

For the record I think Obama would be great on the international scene (a lot less countries will be pissed off at the USA with Obama in charge). But he has made an aweful lot of promises domestically that he will not be able to keep and I only chimed in here because the GOPs new VP is being slammed as inexperienced (which she is) all the while everyone pays no mention to the Senator's inexperience. Everyone is ready to give the Senator the most powerful job in the world and the Senator has never even run a large company, never run a government. He is just a great public speaker who promises utopia and in tough times some of the lemmings are buying it.

Two inexperienced people and two old white farts from the DC boys club. I ask again, in a country of 300+ million people is this the best you could find to lead you? Might as well give Paris Hilton control of the country.

These are the people that, of the people that actually wanted the job, were found to be the least egregious by about 1/4 of the population in either case.

I've been watching Governor Palin for a while now and read up on Trooper-gate. Nothing there.

Of course a few right wingers are ticked. I'm sure a few left wingers are ticked at Biden's choice as well. Let them be ticked off - it won't get Obama any executive experience and it won't lessen Governor Palin's effect on the campaign.

Well, thanks for the explanation. I guess I won't bug out, in the future, if I see the same thing go on, even absent a similar apology.

As for the "big oil honey," the reason I didn't make the connection you explicated here is that I immediately (blame it on the comma that should have been there, and the inept public schools that caused it not to be) started thinking that they were shooting for "big oil money" and not "big oil, honey"...

To be fair, it wasn't the school's fault I missed the punctuation mark. If it was, I wouldn't have been able to point out the issue; would I?

Sometimes I just type faster than I should.

Here's one of my favorite typos that I'm constantly doing lately even though I'm perfectly aware of it and even check for it frequently; "becuase" rather than "because." I have no idea why I continue to do that. I KNOW how the word is spelled, my fingers just hit the keys in the wrong order on a frequent basis.

I had specifically said, "I'd love to see your "science" on this," because I know the highly variable estimates that have been given by any one of a number of organizations and that the historical data on polar bear population is highly suspect.

One thing is absolutely certain though, if sea ice is allowed to diminish, the sea ice that the polar bears use as hunting platforms, then the animals are not as successful and go into the winter months underfed, which in turn means that fewer of them survive.

Well maybe if you start now you can help fix the problem. 1 sell all gas powered things you own. 2 stop skydiving or anything else that burns fossil fuels. 3 If you could get about 10% of the world to do the same i would greatly appericate it cause my gas prices would go down and save me money
