I'm torn on his selection of Biden. Bottom line, I'm thinking he fought the biggest fire and went with the guy with the most foreign policy experience. I'd still have preferred Powell or Clark, but I suppose Biden does fit the bill on the whole "lack of experience" issue McCain's been exploiting.

When does a VP matter anyway? Hell, Nixon's had to quit for tax evasion, LBJ was the last VP that mattered, unless you considered when Reagan was shot and GHWB took over for a few days.

reverse global warming

Point is, if McSame is elected/appointed, we will suffer the Bush disaster again.

Wait for the debates, that will come out. Clinton did it with the 1992 Omnibus Spending Bill, raised taxes on the rich significantly and cut military spending.

Clinton did it by cutting military spending and increasing social and educational spending. Worked for him, the deficit improved every year until it turned to a surplus. I think Obama will follow what Clinton did.

So do you think he should have used his acceptance speech to flip flop? Or do you think he should have used his acceptance speech to discuss detail rather than big-picture platform? Personally, I think keeping the same platform subsequent to nomination is a good thing.

Then the title of the thread would have been "Obama's speech proves how inconsistent and hypocritical he is." If he had gone into more detail the title would have been "Obama bores audience to death with his elitist ramblings." If he had talked more about the military it would have been "Obama uses US soldiers to score political points." If he had talked about them less it would have been "Obama cares so little about the military that he barely mentioned them."
