Will US cities burn if Obama is not elected?

Recommended Posts

I don't think I will be able to vote in your poll since I don't see "Cities" burning down. But I do see the risk that some people in isolate areas could riot and there is the risk that some yokel will try and assassinate Obama. Racism in America (on both sides) is still alive. It's not as bad as it once was, but it still exists.

I like Obama better than both Clintons and I like Obama better than GWB. I think McCain is an honorable man, but I would still rather see "None of the Above" beat both Obama and McCain. I will feel better domestically if Romney is McCain's vice prez but internationally I think Obama would be good for the USA and I am sorry to the people blinded by this prospect. GWB and many in the GOP have done some severe damage to the USA's reputation around the world. But domestically there is no way in hell Obama will be able to deliver on all of his promises.

The sooner the US gets out of Iraq (assuming it is semi-stable) the better because the hornet's nest is actually in Afghanistan and Pakistan. But Russia and Iran are always wildcards that could really stir the pot. May you live in interesting times and these sure are not dull times.

As you are probably aware, a yokel already tried that - but was (fortunately) stopped before he could get very far.

Those guys were yokels no doubt and yes kudos to the authorities for stopping them. But even the authorities were saying they weren't much of a risk and were pretty much small time drug/gun thugs. To assassinate one of the top dog politicians in America these days requires a pretty sophisticated plan (or an inside job).

Well?

Ask Rodney King or OJ;)

Well, if McCain beats Obama with a stick and then wins the EC, but not the popular vote, sure, expect to see fiery consequences.

Doesn't seem likely...McCain may have crazy on his side, but I think the younger guy can take him down in a fight.

Well?

I answered, "No, because the voting block that supports him host no ill will towards white america."

No.
Wait.

I'm sorry, my mistake -- I answered "Yes, if they burn and loot when a team wins a championship, they will do this."

It would take a serious pro to take out Obama, he is extremely well protected. Long range rifle shots are out because there is nowhere he will be exposed for long enough to make the shot. That and making a cold bore shot at range can be a serious pain in the ass.
Close range is always available as long as the shooter doesn't mine being executed and can successfully smuggle a gun into an event and somehow manage not get noticed while aiming.
Bottom line is that the secret service does an extremely good job and it would take someone very determined with extensive training to do it, some redneck will definitely not be able to pull something like that off.
I would also bet that he is being driven around in a B7 protection level vehicle. (bullet proof with protection from IED's, grenades, land mines etc...) making road attacks harder

Well, he could just go out and get one of those ceramic Glock pistols. I hear they're the choice of terrorists, and are undetectable by modern security devices (heh, even their ammunition!). A liberal columnist named Jack Anderson told me so, and people continue to say the same thing. They can't all be wrong!

Except when they don't, I guess. :|

FYI: Obama isn't exactly black.

Someone needs to inform American, since America isn't smart enough to figure it out.

It doesn't matter to them he aint WHITE

It is likely that there will be some people who will riot and set things afire if he is not elected, however it is also likely that if he wins fair and square there will be some whites who would want him dead. I can see them paying a black man to do it as well.

To see if peoples minds have changed after time has passed, and the fervor surrounding the Dem Convention, and Obama has increased.

The meta-analysis is kind of curious.

Direct comparisons are difficult as the wording has changed. The prior poll from March08 had 31% voting yes and 69% no (39 total votes). Thus far, this poll has 62% voting yes and 38% voting no (29 votes thus far).
