A city sidewalk is not private property...I don't understand how that qualifies as "trespass". I hope ABC stays on this. Not knowing what led up to all that is something I'd like to know, but the sidewalk is hardly a spot where the cops need to be pulling that kind of crap.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! warpedskydiver 0 #3 August 28, 2008 Maybe the wealthy donors did not want to be seen leaving that location. Hmmm what was the reason they were upset enough to bring in the cops. Also, I wonder how the Denver cops, and the Hotel are going to like the lawsuit. The First Amendment, as well as the Fourth seem to have been violated. airdvr 210 #5 August 28, 2008 I'm always suspicious of video that's been edited. There's about 5 minutes prior to the beginning that I'd like to se and the block edited out in the middle before I make conclusions. Please don't dent the planet. Perhaps you haven't noticed, but the first and fourth ammendments don't mean too much in present day America/----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it". warpedskydiver 0 #7 August 28, 2008 Are you approving of this because it is the Dems that did it? The constitution doesn't mean much to those who disagree with it. Make up your mind, or are you that partisan?

riddler 0 #13 August 31, 2008 I live a mile away from the DNC, and I chose not to go anywhere near it. Sure, it's history, but I watched the police brutality before the DNC started, and I knew it would be even worse during. Sheriffs should not have been allowed to participate (particularly Boulder county Sheriffs who had no jurisdiction in downtown Denver) in the enforcement activities. The vice squad should not have been walking beats looking for jay-walkers. SWAT is necessary, but the shows of strength were not. The Brown Palace is one of the most expensive hotels in Denver (a lot of history there as well). A lot of money and a little bit of power goes a long way toward making up your own laws.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
