Botellines 0 #30 August 24, 2008 QuoteWell let's hear it, and please provide a good reason for your opinion. Can you guarantee 100% that your gun is not going to be misused? I don´t mean misused by you, i mean misused by your family, by your teenage kids, by a relative that happens to come for a visit. Can you guarantee that you will never ever loose your gun or it will never be stolen? How much can you bet on it, economical responsability? criminial responsability if indeed your gun is misused by someone? I don´t care wether you have guns or not, i am just happy there is an ocean between my people and whoever has the chance to misuse your gun.

birdlike 0 #34 August 24, 2008 Quote Quote Quote Quote Thanks for pointing out what the disqualifications are. Even though they were wrong..... What is up with people like you who swoop in, call someone wrong, but refuse to say why they're supposedly wrong? Let me point out that I did not claim to be making a comprehensive list of the disqualifiers in the first place. But what was wrong, anyway? That's rich, from a guy who refuses to answer the issue of innocent people being executed in several recent threads. Talk about a non-sequitur! IF I had "refused to answer ..." what would that have to do, at all, with the validity of what I just said here? And if I failed to answer a direct question, please inform me what it was and I'll see about answering it.Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire

We've seen more European people and countries misuse their MILITARIES for me to worry what a few American gun owners might do. By the way, I sure hope you don't own a motor vehicle, a hatchet, or any kitchen knives. You wouldn't want to be responsible for what a thief might do with them to innocent people. warpedskydiver 0 #36 August 24, 2008 Well given the fact that the most vehement anti-gun posters in this forum have somehow remained silent, I would suggest the following: When it comes to me owning guns, of any type, SHUT YOUR FUCKING GOB.

About 200 million weapons in private property are "a few"?? Bwahahahaha - that's Jeffrey (the peaceful) in full action on highest level - LMAO Apart from having a somewhat confrontational style when it comes to discussion, I live a very peaceful life. If you want to impugn it, why don't you put up or shut up? Show me where I've done stuff that's "un-peaceful" and please direct your focus to the guns I own that you evidently don't think I should own. And I said "to worry what a few American gun owners might do." I did not say that there were only a few American gun owners. I was referring directly to the "few" among them who commit criminal acts with guns. As in, they are a tiny minority. By the way, where on earth did you get 200 million? Nearest estimates I've heard were 80 to 90 million gun owners, and 250 to 300 million guns. But what's accuracy to a gun hater? Maybe if you were into guns, you'd care more about being accurate in other aspects of your life.Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire
birdlike 0 #40 August 25, 2008 Quote out of 200 million guns, how many are used in crimes? I bet that percentage is smaller than you think. Let's do the math. Let's assume that EVERY ONE of the 30,000 annual gun-related deaths were an individual CRIME (forgetting that about half are suicides, and some of the remaining half are legitimate, "good" shootings that save lives from criminals). And let's assume that each one is committed with a separate gun (very unlikely, especially where crimes are concerned). Divide 30,000 by the 300,000,000 guns, and you get 0.0001, or one one-hundredth of a single percent. Oooh, big catastrophe. And yes, I recognize that each shooting death is a catastrophe to each individual family. But we know that lives end. They could just as easily -- hell, MORE easily -- be ended by an AUTOMOBILE and amount to the same degree of catastrophe. (And not only that, but the family is now out a car!)Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire
akarunway 1 #41 August 25, 2008 Quote Quote Damn have all the hand wringing, fearful, anti-gun zealots gone to bed already? Or are they just cleaning their false teeth? They're hugging their trees goodnight. Or hiding from the imaginary bullets. Fuck, I'm pretty drunk - time to go shootin'. Funny. While you're out run down to Fl. and shoot onna the there loose gators. birdlike 0 #42 August 25, 2008 I've never eaten gator, even though it's around at a fair number of restaurants nearby. I think I always had a compunction about eating what I consider to be a magnificent creature. Anyway, what's it like? Can you describe the consistency? I always imagined it to be like a cross between chicken and conch or something. And I can't begin to imagine the flavor. How is it cooked? A filet on a bun? Made into chunks and battered like sweet and sour pork? Cut as a steak and grilled? And does it feel weird to be eating flesh of a reptile?
