It's pretty much most likely true: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/23/biden.democrat.vp.candidate/index.html But you clearly didn't get it (my post). Made me laugh a bit though..... EDIT to (probably, but with a high degree of certainty) add: ------ "Once we got to the point where twenty/something's needed a place on the corner that changed the oil in their cars we were doomed . . ." -NickDG

birdlike 0 #6 August 23, 2008 Quote Oh I'm quite happy about this... I heard it on the radio a short time ago. They mentioned that Biden had survived two brain aneurysms. My first thought was I guess that having a candidate with troubles like that will easily be used to cancel attacks on McCain that he's too old, and risks being infirmed.Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire
kelpdiver 2 #7 August 23, 2008 about as inspiring a choice as Gore in 1992....except Biden was an even bigger loser in 88. So much for a fresh slate of people - we're digging up the long dead now. Maybe McCain can out do him and get Perot's guy.

Though Stockdale wouldn't be much more or a zombie than Biden. In all seriousness, Biden is probably the least bad of the shrt list. My wife is hotter than your wife. Me too. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/veepstakes I like this quote from AP: "...and a reputation as a long-winded orator." Arrogance on the top and bottom of the ticket, and won't shut-up...perfect. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! I wonder how he feels about Obama's lack of experience now. "The White House isn't the place isn't the place to learn..." Or this: "In comments first reported in the New York Observer, Sen. Joseph Biden (D-DE) said Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) is “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” Biden’s insensitive remarks were roundly criticized, and he has since apologized. " http://thinkprogress.org/2007/01/31/bush-biden-obama/ It looks like most of the dz.commers weren't rooting for him either...my old poll had him in third...So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! TheAnvil 0 #14 August 23, 2008 On another note, if B.O. actually wins I would have preferred Gov. Richardson as his VP. I think he was the best of the Dem bunch running. Gawain 0 #15 August 23, 2008 The AP doesn't always have the most insightful opinion analyses, but this one is rather interesting: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080823/ap_on_el_pr/veepstakes_analysis If Sen. Obama wins, Sen. CanuckInUSA 0 #17 August 23, 2008 Mitt Romney for prez!!! (assuming he is McCain's vice prez nominee) Come on all you evangelicals, you can look past this man's mormon religion. He has a successful track record running large businesses, he has experience running a government (being the former MA govenor) and he helped save the SLC Winter Olympics. Yes sure he comes off as an arrogant SOB, but he is far more qualified than Obama, Biden and McCain ... combined. BTW I am agnostic not mormon. Not that it matters what I think since I am not even a yank and won't be voting. I am just yet another opinionated Speakers Corner dweeb. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
Muenkel 0 #18 August 23, 2008 IMO, I think Romney would be a mistake for McCain. Not because of his religion, but because his perceived flip-flops on many key issues. Granted, McCain and Obama have their own flip-flops they're going to have to deal with. _________________________________________ Chris

marcandalysse 0 #23 August 25, 2008 QuoteGov. Richardson as his VP Richardson didn't have the charisma needed to be a viable candidate, but I too thought him a capable man. I lived in New Mexico and voted for him on his first run at congressman.....
