I don't like his short term proposals like windfall profits taxes and tapping the strategic reserves but the tire and tune up idea is a good one. If everyone inflated their tires to the proper pressure today then we would save 3.5 million gallons of gasoline by tomorrow. That's about the most simple, effective, short term solution that I can think of.

What do you dislike about the rest of his proposals?

I heard the same thing yesterday. And I love how Obama is spinning it. Someone else mentioned it as well, the fact that the hip people that are supporting BO don't get called on their cell phones. I don't think that is the issue. I think people are getting turned off by his arrogance and his inability to wing it. He is great in a speech but he did horribly at Saddleback and people are starting to notice his lack of substance and experience.

This may be signficant, but it doesn't change that even without the cell phone voters, he was leading before, and now he's not. However, it's still pretty early in the process given that neither party has had their convention yet. They're definitely scheduled late this year, odd given how early the primaries were.

The young vote is the mystery of the election - will they show up in November when it counts, or will they support the older models that presume they'll go drinking instead. Preelection polling accuracy will depend on how closely the guess the turnout of the 18-29 crowd.

- He wants people to have to pay as little as possible in taxes
- He opposes government waste
